Sizing Guide
The easiest way to choose the right size is to match what you already wear. If you’re unsure, check your current jewelry for a size card, ask your piercer, or email us at support@kikojoy.com.
Quick Definitions
- Gauge (G) = thickness of the post or ring
- Post length = wearable length of a bar or stud
- Inner diameter (ID) = inside width of a hoop
Gauge Guide
Common sizes you’ll see across Kikojoy pieces:
- 20G (0.8mm) — common for nose hoops and some nose studs
- 18G (1.0mm) — common for nose studs and some ear piercings
- 16G (1.2mm) — common for cartilage and some ear piercings
- 14G (1.6mm) — common for navel jewelry
Nose Hoops
Nose hoops are sized by gauge and inner diameter. Many people choose between 8mm (5/16") and 10mm (3/8").
- 8mm — closer fit
- 10mm — a little more room
Fit depends on anatomy and placement. If you’re between sizes, choosing the same inner diameter as your current hoop is usually the safest option.
Nose Studs
Nose studs are sized by gauge and post length. A common post length is 6mm, but preference depends on how snug you like the fit.
Ear Jewelry
Ear jewelry varies by placement. Many cartilage piercings use 16G (1.2mm), while some ear piercings and delicate hoops may use 18G or 20G.
If you’re switching from fashion jewelry to body jewelry sizing, your piercer can confirm the exact gauge you need.
Navel Jewelry
Most navel pieces are a standard 14G (1.6mm) with a 3/8" (10mm) bar length. The exact gauge and length are listed on each product page.
Stone Size
Stone sizes are listed in millimeters (mm). For reference:
- 2mm — very minimal sparkle
- 3mm — noticeable but still refined
- 4mm+ — more statement
